Previous Careers: College campus minister (UC Berekely) and Jr. High Math Teacher (Rialto, CA)
What did I love about it? Making complex ideas simple; illuminating the "AHA" moment; helping others find confidence in their path.
Financial Advising: I still see my role as that of a teacher, mentor, guide, coach, or counselor. I've been at it since 2006 and my favorite part is getting to interview my clients and learn about their past and plan their future.
Personal Life: I have three kids who challenge and amaze me. We've been in Davis since 2010 and I like the small-town community. You're bound to run into a friend at the hardware store, farmer's market, pub, or out to dinner.
Giving back: I serve as a Board Member with the Davis Chamber of Commerce. I coach baseball and basketball, and ref soccer.
Favorite Charity: International Justice Mission. They liberate, advocate, adjudicate, educate and empower people around the world trapped in human trafficking and slavery.
Recharging: skiing, scuba diving, mountain biking, hiking, gym, or any adventure I can find. Currently finishing Breaking Bad.
Favorite Muppet: Fozzie Bear. I love to make others laugh, especially my kids. I've always appreciated stand-up comedians, their outside-of-the-box outlook on life, the risks they take, and the work they put into perfecting their craft. Wakka, wakka, wakka!
Previous Careers: Retail Manager at a women’s apparel store.
What did I love about it? Management and customer service skills.
Financial Advising: I warmly welcome clients and make certain they leave their engagement feeling the time was meaningful and well-spent. In my operational role I make sure the day-to-day operations are running smoothly. I manage our group health insurance clients as a licensed Life, Health, and Disability agent. I am also a licensed Notary Public.
Personal Life: My little ones are a German Shephard named Evian and my rabbits are Ginger and Poppyseed. Paul is amazed Evian hasn’t eaten the rabbits.
Giving back: I volunteer as an Ambassador with the Davis Chamber of Commerce. I serve with my church kid’s program and sing and play piano on the worship team.
Favorite Charity: Mary Kay Ash Foundation
Recharging: Gardening. Even though I consider myself a novice my yard was featured in the Water-Wise Woodland Landscape Tour in 2021.
Favorite Muppet: Miss Piggy. I love her sass and she doesn’t put up with any nonsense.
